We build websites and marketing for local businesses every day. This one is close to home. Today we are soft launching lovingtheoldies.com, the new website for I Love The Oldies.
It is a soft launch, so we are still working out a few kinks. But the site is up, it is fast, and there is a lot to explore. Here is what it is, who it is for, and what our team built.

What I Love The Oldies is
I Love The Oldies started on Facebook. It is a community of people who love the music, movies, TV shows, cars and gadgets from the ’50s through the ’90s. The Facebook page and the groups are where fans share memories every day. Someone posts a photo of a drive-in, and a hundred people chime in with where they went and who they took.
That kind of community deserves a real home on the web. Facebook is great for talking. It is not great for finding that story you loved last month, playing a quiz with your family, or shopping for a tee that says what you feel. So we built a place for all of that, tied right back to the page and the groups.
Who it is for
It is for anyone who still knows all the words to the songs on the radio from when they were sixteen. People who remember the first time they saw a color TV, the first car they bought, the record store downtown and Saturday morning cartoons. It is also for their kids and grandkids, who want to know what all the fuss was about. The site is easy to read, easy to click, and nothing is hidden behind a maze of menus.
Why a soft launch
We wanted fans in there early. A soft launch lets the people who care the most poke around, tell us what they love and tell us what is missing. We are fixing small things as we find them, adding stories every week and listening to the feedback. If you visit and something looks off, tell us. That is the whole point.
Meet Ruby, the host of the site
Every good diner has someone behind the counter who knows everybody. On lovingtheoldies.com, that is Ruby.
Ruby is the host of the site. She greets you on the Meet Ruby page, she shows up across the site, and she has her own look for every decade. Need help finding something? Tap her and she points you to the decade pages, a quiz, On This Day or the latest stories.
We are upfront that Ruby is an AI-created character. Her backstory is just for fun. But she gives the site a personality and a friendly face, and she makes a big site feel easy to get around.

Stories, new every week
The Stories page is the heart of the site. Music and vinyl, classic cars, Hollywood, tech nostalgia, retro fashion and Grandma’s kitchen. You can filter by topic or scroll the whole archive. Recent ones cover the 80s arcade and the night people say disco died.

Pick a decade
The Decades page works like a time machine. Pick a year and it shows you the No. 1 song, the top movie and what a stamp cost. Each decade has its own page too: the ’50s, ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Drive-ins and doo-wop, muscle cars and the British Invasion, disco and vinyl, MTV and the NES.

On This Day
On This Day shows what happened in music, movies, TV and pop culture from 1950 to 1999, for every day of the year. Who was born, what hit the charts, what made the news. You can jump to any date, like your birthday or your anniversary.

Quizzes and What Year Were You Born?
The Quizzes are quick and fun, and every answer links to its source. Name that ’60s hit, 80s arcade trivia, the drive-in movie quiz, a classic car match-up and more.

What Year Were You Born? is one of our favorite pages. Pick your year and see the No. 1 song, the top movie, the top TV show, popular baby names, and what a gallon of gas, a movie ticket and a candy bar cost back then. It is the kind of page you send to your sister and your best friend from high school.

The Shop: tees, coffee and cool finds
The Shop puts everything vintage in one place. There are I Love The Oldies tees, made when you order, plus Retro Roast Coffee, oldies-inspired blends in whole bean and ground.

Cool Finds is a hand-picked list of retro gear and gifts on Amazon. Suitcase record players, lava lamps, retro candy boxes, the Atari 2600+. Tap a pick to see the current price.

Marketplace and Vintage Shop Finder
The Marketplace is where fans buy and sell real vintage items. Records, toys, signs, cameras, sports cards and collectibles. Every listing is reviewed before it goes live.

The Vintage Shop Finder helps people find vintage and antique shops near them. There is a map option and a searchable list of over 200 real shops across the country. Shop owners can list for free.

Oldies Events, Mixtape and the weekly email
Oldies Events is a calendar for car shows, cruise nights, oldies concerts and sock hops. Organizers can add events for free, and we only list events we can check.

The Mixtape page pulls in the newest posts from the I Love The Oldies Facebook page, so the site and the community stay connected. And the weekly email sends the best new stories, quizzes and finds straight to your inbox. One email a week, that is it.
What Pesce MediaWorks built
We treated this like any client build. No template. Here is what our team did:
Custom design
We designed the site from scratch around the brand: dark tones, cream, gold and a bold red, with the classic I Love The Oldies logo. It feels retro but it reads clean, and it works just as well on a phone as on a laptop.
SEO built in
Every page has a clear title, a real description, internal links and a full sitemap. The decade pages, quizzes and stories are set up to be found by people searching for the stuff they remember.
Speed
Fans should not wait for a page to load. We kept the pages light, sized every image right and tuned the site so it loads fast on phones.
The business side
A shop, an affiliate hub with clear disclosure, a marketplace, an email list, and pages for About, Contact, Advertise, Press and every policy a real store needs. It is a community site that can also pay for itself.
Come take a look
Visit lovingtheoldies.com, play a quiz, look up your birth year and tell us what you think. We are still in soft launch, and your feedback shapes what comes next.
